Pairing: 田村ゆかり・水樹奈々
“Umm.. excuse me... have you seen a girl around.. five feet flat in height, with black hair, wearing shorts, brown boots a long sleeved blouse with a black scarf pass by here running?”
“She was just here not long ago, she went that way.”
“Thank you!”
“Mou, Nana-chan.” A female around five feet and two inches in height, in twin ponytails and fringed bangs, with black boots and wearing a sleeveless dress with an open trench coat over it and a gray scarf running around Tokyo looking for someone.

“Nana-chan!” I grabbed her arm as she halted from her running. Quickly bringing her right arm to cover her face and sobbed. “Nana-chan...”
“Yukari-san... I’m sorry.”
“What are you saying sorry for?” I told her as I softly pulled her arm so she’s facing me. “Stop covering your face...”
“It was because I... su-suddenly ran away...” She continued to sob as I let go of her wrist and slowly embraced her. “I-I was thankful you were there, thank you Yukari-san.”
Despite being hurt myself, I comforted her and hugged her tightly, whispering a ‘It’s not a problem’ and a ‘yoshi yoshi’ hopefully to make her feel better.

Two days earlier....
“Yukari-san!” I ran towards my bestfriend as she waited in-front of the station. “Sorry to make you wait.”
“Nana-chan!” She called to me into that naturally high pitched voice she has. “So why the sudden urge to meet up?”
“Oh, that! Umm... this guy I like... asked me out yesterday, and we’re going out in two days...” I told her as I blushed and fumbled around my words, my eyes darting in different directions.
She just sighed and finished my sentence for me, “So? You wanted me to come with you and choose clothes to wear, is that right?”
“Ye-yes.” I told her whereas she just sighed and grabbed me by the arm, and dragged me towards the station.

The day before the date...
“So now you’re asking me to come with you? How is that going to be a date?” I half-irritatingly told her over the phone as she continued to begged.
“Be-because, Yukari-san... I’m nervous, I might do something stupid that he won’t like...” She answered me as I furrowed my eyebrows in irritation but sighed to make myself calm.
“If it was me...” And then I let something slip out of my mouth without realizing it.
“Eh?”
“If it was me...” I’d like everything you do even if it was stupid. “If it was me as the guy I won’t even ask you out!” I told her a joke that I suppose might cheer her up.
“Don’t say something like that, Yukari-san, you’re scaring!”
“Sorry, Sorry it was a joke, well then, I won’t really go with you, I’ll be in the same area watching, so don’t worry alright?”
“Thank you...”

The day of the date...
“Nana-chan, calm down okay? Everything will be fine.” I comforted her as I pat her head. “I won’t be far, alright?”
“Thank you, Yukari-san.” She thanked me and bowed then left to go to her date.
I don’t really know why I’m supportive of this despite being hurt in the prcoess. But as long as she’s happy... What happens to me doesn’t really matter.
I followed in purseuit not being obvious while I watched her like a hawk.
Ah, she tripped. As expected of Nana-chan. Although he only helped her up when she was already on the ground. If it was me... I won’t let that happen, no matter what.
I hadn’t notice the time fly. I was too amused by Nana-chan’s antics that I lost track of time. She was just so cute that I enjoyed watching her. Although I wished that the reason for that cuteness was me... and not anyone else.
“Wait!” I heard her half-shout at him as he stopped walking one step and a half ahead of her. “Can we go to somewhere quiet? I... hve something to tell you.” She told him as they walked towards the seaside not far from their current location.
“I... um.. I... really.. really.. like you. If we could just please.. continue this way..” There she told him as she bowed her head in embarrassment. I felt a pang in my heart, my feet having this feeling of wanting to run away.
Hearing my beloved confess to someone other than myself... It hurt me so much, but I stayed calm, and stayed there watching for her sake.
“I’m sorry, Nana.” He told her. Her bowed head shot up to face him with this ‘Why?’ expression. “The guys told me you’ve liked me for a while. And they told me to try and date you once, it was nice though. You’re just a bit of a klutz. But you’re still cute. I don’t like girls who confess to me though.”
She looked down again, clutching her bag in-front of her thighs. Without listening to his rambling she said something... “It was... it was a bet.. isn’t it?” She told him.
“Actually, I can win the bet if I can take you to a hotel today. Too bad you confessed too early. So why won’t you be just kind and—“ before he could even finish his sentence, Nana-chan had bolted away. Away from him.
With sheer instincts, I followed her, running past the darned man. After realizing I ran past him, I slowly walked a few steps back and took a good look at him, “Hmm... you’re good looking. Nana-chan has nice taste.”
I then looked down to his feet and up back to his face. He was giving me this questioning look. “You’re quite cute too, interested in me?”
I ignored him. “Too bad your shoes sucks.” I took a step back and looked left and right. “Red doesn’t look good on you either.” I said as I criticized his clothing.
“Your hair’s too long, makes you look like ten times your age. But you look good.” And then I furrowed my eyebrows then from my side, I threw my right hand against his left cheek, making sure to leave a mark. “Too bad you’re a jerk.”
Without giving any damn to what his reply was, I ran away and chased after Nana-chan.

At Present...
“Do you want to go home now?” She asked me as I shook my head. Her embrace makes me feel warm, that I hadn’t realized I’ve been returning her hug with my head buried in-between her shoulder and neck.
“...Then... want to go stay at my house for a while?” She asked as my sobbing started dying down.
“If it’s alright... that’d be a nice idea.” I told her and released myself from her embrace. I had stopped sobbing and decided to move on that men such as him, is not worth my tears.
“The weather looks bad too, we should hurry up.” She told me as she held on to my hand and lead me to the direction of her house. “The weather forecast did say that it’s going to rain hard in the afternoon.”
I just smiled and followed her enthusiastically.
We arrived around twenty minutes past five o’clock in the afternoon. I surveyed Yukari-san’s house and was amazed at how clean it was.
“Go sit in the couch for a while. I’ll go fix you up something warm.” She told me and smiled as she went onto her kitchen and rummaged for things.
“Thank you.” I looked around her house more. “Wow, Yukari-san your house is so clean. Must be nice, mine is so messy, I won’t even dare take you there.” I told her and chuckled. I’m feeling a bit better. Always with Yukari-san, I’d always feel comfortable, a bit nervous but... comfortable.
She poked her head out from her counter and answered me, “I’d gladly go and clean your house as long as you cook for me one of your dishes.” I replied to her an ‘It’s a deal, then’ as she stood up.
“Ah, Nana-chan, come here in the kitchen. The drink is a bit hot, I might spill it if I brought it there.” She told me as I stood up and made way to the kitchen.
Half-way to her kitchen, near her basket of fresh fruits... the lights suddenly went out and in my surprised I tripped. My hand went on to touch something round... with a leaf on top.
“Kyaa!” I half-screamed as I felt arms touch me. “Wh-what... what was that?” I asked.

“Mou, Nana-chan, that’s just a tomato.” Tamura Yukari, told her friend, Mizuki Nana as the very same person clinged to her arm. “You’re so scared.”
“You know very well that the only thing that can make me so scared would be tomatoes...” the shorter female answered as Yukarin leads her to the living room again, due to light outage.
“Well then, stay here again, for a while, I’ll just go fetch us candles.” The taller female said as she sat down, Nana on the couch, slightly walking away, a certain Mizuki grabs her hand. “Yes?”
“N-nothing. I’m sorry.” She apologized and kept her hands to herself.
Yukarin not having walked so far, suddenly felt herself tackled to the ground as a loud thunder strikes, becoming tangled with the other female in the same room.
The two remained silent, until a blink of light emerged. Signaling that electricity was back, both beared surprised expressions as they stared at each others eyes.
Mizuki Nana, being on top darted up ward blushing furiously, still sitting on the other female’s stomach.
“I-I-I-I-I-I--!” Not knowing what to say, she removed herself from the other female’s stomach and sat down on the ground back facing, Tamura Yukari-san. “I-I-I’m sorry! I--!”
“Ow... that hurts though.” Yukarin said as she sat down on the floor as well, looking at a flustered Mizuki Nana.
“I need to apologize but... my mouth and mind doesn’t want to...! It’s like... I enjoyed it... but...! I must apologize!” Mizuki Nana internally battled to her brain as her eyes remained closed.
“Nana-chan~” Yukarin called to her sweetly.
“I should start explaining first, and then...!”
“Nana-chan~~~”
“But--... won’t she find it weird? I just...!”
“Nana-chan~~! Nana-chan~”
“But... I... I just k-k-k-k-k-ki-ki-ki-ki-kissed!”
“Nana-chan~~~~”
“Umm..!” Mizuki Nana turned to look at her friend only to be surprised by another endearing kiss from the other woman. Closing her eyes into acceptance, they broke the kiss.
She just stared at Yukarin as her face flared, looking down on to her hands.
“You were saying?” Yukarin asked as she grinned.
“N-No--! I-It was...!” Nana said as she still, panicked.
“You don’t need to say anything.” Yukarin told her, as she lifted Nana’s face and kissed her again.
A/N: Errr... this is supposed to be a oneshot. I’m still not so, oh-so used to it... and of course I still need more grounds on their personalities. So this story would be just this short, just to see if I captured their attitudes or... what. =] I hope you enjoyed! ~Wakai Kaze.
